Archived Webinar: Including People with Disabilities: Public Health Workforce Competencies

Tuesday October 17, 2017, 12:00 to 1:00 P.M.

Please join us for a brown bag colloquium with Dr. Adriane Griffen from the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD) to learn how public health can improve the health, employment and participation of Montanans with disabilities.
Did you know? One in five Montana adults live with a disability; however, most public health training programs do not include curricula addressing the health of people with disabilities and methods for including them in core public health efforts. This population has a higher incidence of chronic conditions and experience significant health disparities.
This webinar will cover the Including People with Disabilities – Public Health Workforce Competencies, designed to increase the capacity of public health providers to include people with disabilities in their public health plans and efforts. The competencies provide foundational knowledge around the relationship between disability and public health programs and outcomes. Visit for more
