Description of Food Guide Pyramid: The Pyramid is divided horizontally into six
bands. At its base, the band is labeled “Drinks” and shows pictures of cups,
mugs and glasses. Outside the Pyramid, it says “I drink (space is provided to
fill in a number) glasses each day. Favorites: (three spaces are provided to
list favorite drinks).” The band next to the bottom of the Pyramid is labeled
“Breads, Cereals, Rice, Noodles” and shows a picture of a loaf of bread. Outside
the Pyramid, it says “I eat (space is provided to fill in a number) servings
each day. Favorites: (three spaces are provided to list favorite breads,
cereals, rice and/or noodle dishes).” The third band from the bottom is divided
vertically in half. The left half is labeled “Vegetables” and shows a picture of
a turnip. Outside the Pyramid, it says “I eat (space is provided to fill in a
number) servings each day. Favorites: (three spaces are provided to list
favorite vegetables).” The right half of the band is labeled “Fruit” and shows a
picture of an apple. Outside the Pyramid, it says “I eat (space is provided to

down from the top) is labeled “Protein” and shows a picture of a plate
