Direct Service Staff Characteristics, by Job Setting: 81.2% of respondents worked in group home settings. For this group, the average work week was 41.29 hours and respondents had averaged 12.5 overtime hours in the prior month. The average hourly wage was $8.27. 29.8% had sick/vacation leave, health insurance and retirement. 12.1% of respondents received no benefits. 12.7% of respondents worked in semi-independent living settings. For this group, the average work week was 36.23 hours and respondents had averaged 4.39 overtime hours in the prior month. The average hourly wage was $8.60. 41.9% had sick/vacation leave, health insurance and retirement. 9.7% of respondents received no benefits. 5.3% of respondents worked in work center settings. For this group, the average work week was 37.58 hours and respondents had averaged 6.62 overtime hours in the prior month. The average hourly wage was $8.22. 76.9% had sick/vacation leave, health insurance and retirement. 7.7% of respondents received no benefits. One percent of respondents worked in “other” settings. For this group, the average work week was 41.13 hours and respondents had averaged 7.07 overtime hours in the prior month. Across all settings and titles, the average work week was 40.52 hours and the average overtime worked in the prior month was 11.25 hours. The average hourly salary was $8.35. The range of hourly salaries was from a low of $5.75 to a high of $15.78. An average of 29.8% of respondents received all benefits and 9.7% received no benefits.
