Improvement Program Developed to improve the quality of

models for service delivery. Focuses on the need
for and development of data standards for high-quality statistical information
on mental health services.

Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System
National Center for Health Statistics
Quick Health Data Online The Office on Women's Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides free comprehensive US data (for both women and men) regarding various infectious and chronic diseases, mental health, reproductive health, maternal health, violence and abuse, illness prevention, mortality and access to care indicators. National, regional, state and county data are available, and data can be stratified by gender, race/ethnicity, and age concurrently. Users can make their own tables, graphs, and maps out of any data in the database. Age-adjusted rates and 3-year averages are included for many of the health status indicators.
Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Community Living, Institute on Community Integration/UCEDD: Publishes materials on state and U.S. developmental disability demographics in a variety of formats: bibliographies; books/book chapters; case studies & best practices; fact sheets; film/multimedia; periodicals; reports; surveys, assessments & other tools; training resources; guides & curricula; and web sites.
Disability Statistics, Research and Training Center on Community Living Institute on Community Integration
Residential Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities: Status and Trends through 2007 provides data and macro level analyses on public and private residential services. The Executive Summary and Section 3 compare Medicaid utilization and expenditures for home and community-based services with services provided in institutional settings. Data are also presented in state-by-state profiles. Past editions of this annual report dating from 2000 are available as well.

Community Health Status Indicators provide an overview of key health indicators for local communities and encourage dialogue about actions that can be taken to improve a community's health. The CHSI report was designed not only for public health professionals but also for members of the community who are interested in the health of their community. The CHSI report contains over 200 measures for each of the 3,141 United States counties.
