{"id":4935,"date":"2012-06-12T09:23:04","date_gmt":"2012-06-12T15:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtdh.ruralinstitute.umt.edu\/blog\/?page_id=4935"},"modified":"2024-03-29T12:11:45","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T18:11:45","slug":"lwd","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mtdh.ruralinstitute.umt.edu\/?page_id=4935","title":{"rendered":"LWC"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Living Well in the Community<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is<em> Living Well in the Community<\/em>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Living Well in the Community (LWC)<\/em>, formerly known as <em>Living Well with a Disability (LWD)<\/em>, is a ten-week wellness workshop for people with disabilities that helps participants achieve full participation through health maintenance and health promotion activities. The workshop introduces participants to a process for setting and clarifying goals and teaches how to generate, implement, and monitor solutions to problems. Goal setting and problem solving are the frameworks for developing healthy lifestyles and linking health with function.
