A concerted effort is underway in Butte-Silver Bow to improve the city’s pedestrian and bicycling environment. This is a good thing, given that recent data have indicated that Butte is not a healthy community — walking and biking are low-cost and easy ways to greatly improve health.

SPED 597-800 Professional Seminar in SPED – This seminar covers three requirements for the BCaBA credential: (a) ethics, (b) research, and (c) autism.  In the past, these requirements were arranged as independent study with faculty, but will be offered in this seminar due to increasing demand.  The online course begins June 19 and continues through the first week of August, 2017.

This report describes healthy behaviors, quality and access to health care, and other wellness factors for Montanan families with and without a child or youth with a special health care need (CYHSCN). Data are from the National Survey on Children’s Health (NSCH) 2011/2012 dataset and include comparisons of health-related outcomes of Montanan families with and without a CYSHCN.

The MTDH Profiles are intended to support a “Whole Community Approach” to public health and emergency planning in addressing the specific access and functional needs of their communities. The majority of these data are from 2014 and MTDH will now be continuously updating the Profiles as new data comes in.
