Researchers Address Achievement Gap among Students with Disabilities


Researchers from two federally funded entities are analyzing the achievement gap among students with
special needs to suggest specific supports classroom teachers can provide to improve student outcomes. One
report suggests that students struggle with reading authentic texts and answering questions using text-based
evidence.
