Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 1-1 is to increase the proportion of persons with health insurance to 100 percent.  In year 2000, 81%  of all Montana adults, 82% of Montana adults with disability and 81% of Montana adults without disability had insurance.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 1-5 is to increase the proportion of persons with a usual primary care provider to 85%.  73% of Montana adults, 83% of Montana adults with disability and 71% of Montana adults without disability had a usual primary care provider in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 2-2 is to reduce the proportion of persons with chronic joint symptoms who experience a limitation in activity due to arthritis to 21 percent.  28% of Montana adults, 61% of Montana adults with disability and 12% of Montana adults without disability, with chronic joint symptoms experienced a limitation in activity due to arthritis in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 2-5 is to increase the employment rate among adults with arthritis in the working-aged population (age 18-64) to 78 percent. 63% of Montana adults, 44% of Montana adults with disability and 73% of Montana adults without disability with arthritis in the working-aged population (age 18-64) were employed in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 5-3 is to reduce the overall rate of diabetes that is clinically diagnosed to 25 cases per 1000 population.  55 per 1000 Montana adults, 106 per 1000 Montana adults with disability and 42 per 1000 Montana adults without disability had been clinically diagnosed with diabetes in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 12-9 is to reduce the proportion of adults with high blood pressure to 16 percent.  21% of Montana adults, 37% of Montana adults with disability and 17% of Montana adults without disability had high blood pressure in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 12-14. is to reduce the proportion of adults with high total blood cholesterol levels to 17 percent. 30% of Montana adults, 39% of Montana adults with disability and 27% of Montana adults without disability had high total blood cholesterol levels in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 12-15 is to increase the proportion of adults who have had their blood cholesterol checked within the past five years to 80 percent. 70% of Montana adults, 75% of Montana adults with disability and 69% of Montana adults without disability had had their blood cholesterol checked within the past five years in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 14-29a is to increase the proportion of adults who are vaccinated annually against influenza to 90 percent (age 65 and older). 73% of Montana adults, 78% of Montana adults with disability and 70% of Montana adults without disability were vaccinated against influenza in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 14-19b is to increase the proportion of adults ever vaccinated against pneumococcal disease to 90 percent (age 65 and older). 69% of Montana adults, 76% of Montana adults with disability and 66% of Montana adults without disability had been vaccinated against pneumococcal disease in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 19-1 is to increase the proportion of adults who are at a healthy weight to 60 percent.  43% of Montana adults, 34% of Montana adults with disability and 46% of Montana adults without disability were at a healthy weight in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 19-2 is to reduce the proportion of adults who are obese to 15 percent.  19% of Montana adults, 28% of Montana adults with disability and 16% of Montana adults without disability were obese in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 22-1 is to reduce the proportion of adults who engage in no leisure-time physical activity to 20 percent.  20% of Montana adults, 34% of Montana adults with disability and 17% of Montana adults without disability engaged in no leisure-time physical activity in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 22-2 is to increase the proportion of adults who engage in regular, moderate physical activity to 30 percent.  59% of Montana adults, 49% of Montana adults with disability and 61% of Montana adults without disability engaged in regular, moderate physical activity in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 26-11 is to reduce the proportion of adults engaging in binge drinking in the past month to 6 percent.  19% of Montana adults, 14% of Montana adults with disability and 21% of Montana adults without disability had engaged in binge drinking in the last month in 2000.

 

Healthy People 2010 Objective and Year 2010 Target 27-1a is to reduce cigarette smoking by adults to 12 percent.  20% of Montana adults, 24% of Montana adults with disability and 19% of Montana adults without disability smoked cigarettes in 2000.
